Custom Order Viking Knit Bracelets

As you probably can figure out, the holiday season is busiest for Custom-Made viking knit bracelets.  I know the pics aren't that great.  My camera died and my tablet didn't do a very good, but here are two custom-ordered viking knit bracelets.

These duet bracelets are made with grape and kelly green 24 gauge copper enameled wire.  Threaded with memory wire and using a padlock looking clasp that I found at Joann's Fabric Store.    All ready to gift, they are set in white gift boxes for the buyers.

This is a set of 2 bracelets, each having 1/2 of a Best Friends heart charm.

This is a bracelet with color coordinated beads, antique silver cone end caps and a simple heart charm.

Hope you like!  Feel free to comment or share this post.  I appreciate it so much!

What Do You Want To Know About Viking Knit?

Hello my friends,

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I have noticed over some time, that I receive world-wide visitors viewing my posts about the various steps of making Viking Knit.  I don't seem to get a ton of feedback here on the blog, so under the pictures are a few questions I'd like to ask your help with.

I also noticed that on the reviews for my Kindle book which can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KBZQRTM one reviewer said that it was a good book for beginners, while another had said it was not.

What I would like to know from you, my readers is:
  • What can I show you that I have not already?
  • What would you like me to share with you?
  • What questions do you have about Viking Knit?
  • Are the pictures clear?
  • Do you find the instructions on this blog easy or difficult?
I would LOVE to have your feedback on this because I want the people who visit my blog and read my book to get the most value from what I offer.  I want to be sure that what I share with you is HELPFUL.

Thank you!  I love you guys and appreciate every one of you.

More Changes

Hello Friends!

Well, if you've been following my posts, you probably know that I have been working with silicone bands and creating loom bracelets, as well as continuing my work with Viking Knit.  You may also know that I was offering my bracelets on Fiverr.  Now, my bracelets have gotten a LOT of views, but not so many sales.

I started to think that maybe I should cut out the middle man and just offer them for sale here on my blog. Obviously the people viewing my blog have an interest in Viking Knit and other bracelets, not tons of other things.  Granted, most people come here to learn techniques and tricks, which is amazing.  And I am grateful for every single one of you!!!  <3

But, for those who may also want to own or gift a bracelet, why send you to some other site that you may or may not want to deal with? So, I am re-vamping this site a bit.  I am adding a page where I can showcase my pieces and let YOU pick and choose what you like.  Maybe you like a certain bracelet, but want it in a different color? Or you like one just as it is, except you want it on memory wire instead of using clasp closures.

This is my site and you are my viewers and friends.  So, I am going to customize it so that we are BOTH satisfied and no middle man needed!  Well, exception would be Paypal, because for now, (and for past 10 years) they are my payment processor of choice.  I've never had a problem with Paypal, as a buyer or seller and purchases are protected.  I trust them so I will use them here.

Beyond bracelets, I can and will make other items, if you let me know you want them. I already have Viking Knit and Angel earrings available.  I have made a few of my pieces into keychains for myself and friends.  I can add charms to bracelets or change up styles.  All you need to do is let me know what you want and I will work with you directly, to make it happen.

Thank you for being here.  Please feel free to poke around my site.  Ask questions, comment on posts and definitely, would love for you to hit the "Share" button as much as you can.

Custom Bracelets

New Bracelet Photos!

If you haven't taken a look already, I wanted to share with you the dozens of bracelets I have made using silicone bands.  This is something geared towards younger kids, mostly females, but let me tell you, not all are as simple as you think.  And, when you play around with the colors and styles, these can be for the guys as well!

I know not everyone has the time or patience to learn/create these bracelets.  However, for me, it's almost like therapy.  If you'd like to purchase any, or order custom colors, please check out my Fiverr Gigs by clicking the main link here:  Exclusively on Fiverr  Please be sure to order soon if you want delivery by Christmas!  :)

Bracelets and More

If you've been following my blog posts, then you probably already know that I have ventured into new territory.  Loom bracelets, Angel earrings and more Viking Knit...

Besides the silicone bands, I also forgot to mention that I made a thick Viking Knit bracelet a couple weeks back.  It is a Trio...dark blue, black and silver.  This was new for me because I was trying out thicker wire than I am used to, plus they were different gauges AND to top it off, I didn't use my normal end-caps, but rather cement and cord findings.  But, I typically do women's bracelets and jewelry, and wanted to see if I could expand my inventory.

What do you think of this "manly" Trio?

I am not convinced I want to do another.  I used 22 and 20 gauge wire, the latter was very difficult for me to work with.  And, I was not happy waiting for the cement to dry.  I felt as if the whole thing would fall apart.  LOL  However, I wanted to do it, so I tried it.  Overall, I love the way it came out. Just didn't love the experience of making it.

As mentioned in previous posts, I also have crafted some Angel earrings.  Right now I have blue and crystal (clear) available for $5 on Fiverr.  I am not offering them on any other site.  So, listing them on Fiverr and making these earrings, both are new experiences for me.

And here are some of my loom bracelets.  I need ideas for a "brand name" so if you think of anything, please comments below.  ;-)

I also have a couple more styles that are not pictured here simply because I need a better camera  :-)  There are the Blossom, Butterfly and Ladder styles

Pics and more styles to come!

What my goal is with trying new things, is to find the areas that work best for me, both creatively and financially.  Use my skills and creativity to craft items that other people WANT and LOVE.  And, to be able to make a living doing something I love...but still spend time with my family as much as possible.  So, if you see me floating here and there, it's only until I find the right "fit" for me.  But, this blog will always be here so that I may share my journey and you can come along for the ride.  Maybe find something that it the perfect fit for you, too.  :)

New Loom Bracelets

Hello Friends!

I posted the other day that I was learning to make bracelets made with silicone rubber bands, on a loom.  Well, it has been torture on my fingers tips, an occasional shot in the eye by a broken band and of course, the occasional "oh now I have to start all over again."  However, I am really enjoying this new hobby.

I am still making my Viking Knit bracelets.  However, I am enjoying the flexibility of sitting with a few supplies and relaxing for awhile after work.  Viking Knit is beautiful BUT wire isn't very forgiving.  If you make a mistake, or scrape the coloring off...or a host of other complications, you can't simply un-do your work and start over.  Nope, you have a pile of scrap metal, basically.

The silicone loom bands offer me an outlet for creative patterns, color schemes and learning something new.  However, as an income opportunity, the cost is less, and therefore the price tag will be far less as well.  So, I have put up my loom bracelets on Fiverr and will keep the Viking Knit bracelets on Etsy.  You can see the items for sale on my Etsy site, by scrolling down and clicking the banner on the right-hand side of this page.  To visit my Fiverr profile, simply go HERE.

Below are a few pictures of the styles I have been learning.

What do you think?  As always, I love to craft colorful, artistic bracelets.  Whether the material is copper wire or silicone bands.  :)

Something New Loom Bracelets

Something New:
 Loom Bracelets

I have not given up my Viking Knit bracelets.  However, I was at the craft store and my eye caught some sale items.  A loom and silicone bands.  Remembering a bracelet one of my daughter's made for me, I picked up the sale items and figured I'd try it out.  After all, I used to love making loom potholders as a young girl and I love having tons of colors to work with.

Well, a beast has been born!  LOL  I have made almost a dozen bracelets in 12 hours...and I did sleep.  Did some other things as well.  Here's just a few of the ones I have made:

I am practicing, exploring new styles and really enjoying this inexpensive hobby.  There are a few frustrations...some directions aren't very good and of course, sometimes a band breaks and you have to start over.  But, it's been fun so far and I look forward to sharing more.

You can find my bracelets on Fiverr now as well....just check out my "gigs"  :)

The fancier stuff will remain on Etsy for now.  A new website will be coming in the future, so stay tuned!

New Products Coming Soon!

Hello Friends!

Well I placed my first wire order of the season.  Fall colors: orange, brown, green, yellow will be the primary schemes available over the next few weeks.

Then I will move into more of the holiday colors such as reds, greens and gold.

I also am going through all current inventory, fine tuning any pieces that haven't sold, finishing any that were set aside and also looking for display pieces to help me showcase all of my bracelets.  Also considering trying Kumihimo bracelets again.  I liked making them, but never spent a great deal of time practicing.

If you are looking for custom-made pieces or specific colors, just drop me a line so I can help you.  And, of course, word-of-mouth referrals help small businesses grow, so if you have one of my pieces & love it, please refer others.  Thank you!!

Here's to some beautiful months ahead!!
